We’re working with a lot of buyers that are having difficulty finding a house. One of the main things that keep coming up is the seller’s expecting the buyer to waive appraisal contingency. What is appraisal contingency? It’s mainly if you do make a purchase for $600,000. And the house is only appraising for $550,000. They expect the buyer to pay that difference in cash on top of their down payment amount. If you’re not in a position to do so, it is been very hard for buyers to buy a house in this market.
